Featuring the "Eternal Crafts: The Art of Manuscripts" Exhibition

Dhahran, March 27, 2025 – The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is gearing up to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr with over 25 dynamic experiences that blend culture, creativity, and family-friendly fun. The festivities will take place across Ithra’s facilities in Dhahran from the second day of Eid (March 31 – April 2, 2025), offering a vibrant atmosphere for all ages. The initiative reflects Ithra’s ongoing efforts to deliver exceptional experiences as a multidimensional cultural and creative destination.

Craftsmanship and the Art of Manuscripts
One of the highlights is “Eternal Crafts: The Art of Manuscripts,” an exhibition that delves into the intricate relationship between skill and time. It showcases the work of eight master artisans in paper-making, calligraphy, and ornamentation—shedding light on their creative practices, harmonious collaboration, and dedication to preserving these timeless crafts for future generations.
Complementing the exhibition is an immersive installation titled “Pathways of Earth and Palm”, a sensory-rich experience offering a layered tapestry of Saudi cultural and natural landscapes. This interactive architectural piece draws inspiration from ancient techniques of mud architecture and palm weaving.

Musical Performances
Music lovers are in for a treat with a spectacular Video Game Music Concert, featuring orchestral arrangements of beloved game soundtracks. Iconic scenes from titles like League of Legends, Overwatch, Assassin’s Creed, and The Witcher 3 will come to life in a stunning live performance on the Ithra stage, blending powerful visuals with symphonic storytelling.
Renowned musician Saad Al Oud will also take the stage for a joyful Eid night performance under the starlit skies of Ithra’s lush gardens, serenading the audience with beloved songs in a vibrant musical atmosphere.

Interactive Eid Activities
At the Children’s Museum, children will enjoy “Eid Window”—a whimsical display that brings festive moments to life through joyful visual scenes. Ithra also offers a range of interactive workshops that merge fun and learning, including Balloon Art, Eid in a Bag, and Scent of Eid. Families can embark on a cultural journey with “Global Table”, an engaging activity that highlights the shared human experience through the language of food.
In the Ithra Library, families can test their knowledge and luck with the “Spin the Wheel”, a fun and informative game. Meanwhile, “Eid Stories” invites children to gather around the character “Sahaba”, who shares a heartwarming tale about the joy of Eid. Children can then fill their own cloud memento as a special keepsake.
Eid sounds also come to life through “Eid Echoes”, a full-sensory audio experience, and “Cloud Symphony” at the Energy Exhibit—immersive activities that celebrate the holiday from multiple exciting perspectives. Additional programs include “The Tangible Foam Show”, an interactive activity designed for all ages.
A Journey Through Cultures and the Future
Ithra’s Eid celebration extends to the bid screen with a special film program featuring a curated selection of international and beloved Japanese anime films that reflect the spirit of Eid and its cultural and familial values.
