Precious Plastic: Mini Recycling Factory is a global community of recyclers, makers, and creatives who build small enterprises from plastic waste. Join the 3-hour sessions over two days to learn how to transform, reuse and process plastic to create new products for the market. That’s not all, you’ll join a new community at Ithra granting you direct access to the Precious Plastic Mini Recycling Factory to design and develop new products.
The open-source nature of the Precious Plastic initiative is an excellent example of the positive impact of openness. By sharing their knowledge and resources with the world, there are now Precious Plastic communities around the globe. When data is open, creative thinkers from all backgrounds can improve, change and adjust projects and ideas. This process accelerates the development process, rapidly increasing the functionality of projects. What other global communities can we make?

In this workshop, you will learn how to make your products by:
1. Sorting plastics by type and usage.
2. Shredding plastic.
3. Creating products using one an injection, extrusion, or compression machine.

This workshop does not require any previous technical knowledge.
