Title: Arabic Lettering and Book Cover Design
The masterclass will present the major calligraphy styles, their potential for contemporary Arabic lettering, and the various lettering techniques and creative approaches. The participants will be guided to create an Arabic book cover design for a preselected classical Arabic novel. The participants should have some art or design background. The participants will come with paper, ink, pens, pencils, and brushes and be willing to experiment with materials and ways of drawing the title and combining it with appropriate images.
