FAQs

What is the IVD?

International Volunteer Day (IVD) is a yearly celebration happening on December 5th. It is a global observance that highlights the contributions and efforts of volunteers around the world.

At Ithra, we extend the appreciation beyond just one day and celebrate the spirit of volunteering through a series of programs and activities to ensure that volunteers receive ongoing recognition and support for their selfless efforts during the year.

What does IVD offer?

IVD includes two main programs:

1. Ithra’s Volunteerism Exhibition

  • The first station is a large screen that highlights the Volunteer Services history, programs and initiatives, and achievements along with the 2023 recap video.
  •  At the second station we proudly present three separate displays showcasing volunteering inspirational stories from diverse categories: Little, Cultural and Professional Volunteers.
  • The third station is a VR experience where the visitors will be able to try the volunteering experience at Ithra.
  • The fourth station is an engaging and interactive game that will allow the visitors to actively engage with the exhibition content while having fun.

2. Forum

The forum, held this year, focuses on sustainable volunteerism. It features local, GCC, and international speakers engaging in a dialogue about achieving sustainability and the crucial procedures and tools involved.

The forum also explores various types of volunteering programs and initiatives aimed at motivating volunteers to actively participate.

The forum will be on December 14, 2023, and it attracts 900 audience members.
