The ceremony of Ithra Reading Program (iRead), now in its eighth edition, is a two-day event under the slogan "The Arab World is Reading" with a broad participation of readers, authors, professionals, academics and those engaged in the different areas and branches of reading and literature to celebrate the love of reading and award the Reader of the Year for the iRead competition from Arab world for the first time, where ten reader compete for the title. The poet Adonis will be the guest of honor for this year's ceremony. The cultural program also includes book bazaars, panel discussions, book signing events, and an evening of poetry with Farouk Gouidah.
