Ithra Short Play Contest

The Ithra Short Play Contest seeks to empower Saudi talent and enrich theatrical content. We welcome authors, directors, and actors of any nationality residing in Saudi Arabia to share their abilities and creativity at this artistic event at the Ithra Theater in August 2023.

The Jury:

• Dr. Sami Aljuman (Chairman of the Judgement Committee)

- Professor of Drama Studies at King Faisal University Playwright and director

- Member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Theater Authority

- Founder and President of the Joint Arab Theater Production Association (ATPA).

- Winner of the first national award in the field of theater in Saudi Arabia.

• Dr. Moez Al Murabit

 - Professor of theater in Tunis

 - General Director of the Tunisian National Theatre.

 - Director of the Carthage Theater Festival.

- Member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Theater Authority

• Mr. Mazin Algharbawi

- Actor, author, and theater director.

- Founder and President of Sharm El-Sheikh International Festival for Youth Theatre.

- Winner of the State Encouragement Award in Egypt.

 - Winner of many awards in theatrical directing.

• Mr. Rashid Al-Warthan 

 - A Saudi actor and theater director.

- Winner of many awards in the field of theater, acting and directing

- A theatrical trainer who has completed many theatrical workshops in the field of acting and directing.

•  Mr. Fahd Al-Dosari

 - Theater producer and director.

 - He has many theatrical productions and participations inside the Kingdom, including what won awards and praises in international festivals.

- Participated with many of the top theater stars in the Gulf.
