The Cultural Majlis will be held every Wednesday during the holy month of Ramadan, featuring three panel discussions on March 13, 20 and 27 which correspond with Ramadan and start from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

What are the most prominent programs and activations accompanying the Cultural Majlis?

The Majlis will feature a host of programs and activations including:

  • Panel discussions that shed the light on different camel-related topics.
  • A tour of the “Shadad” photography exhibit, which consists of 20 photographs that capture camel habitats in the desert of Tabuk.
  • Panel discussion on the book titled Kulnings of Memory, which delves into camels and stories that relate to them.   

What is the overarching theme of the Cultural Majlis?

The main theme of the Majlis will be “The Year of the Camel,” and its first panel discussion will discuss the Cultural and Historical Value of Camels, then Camels in Arab Literature in its second session, while the last and final session titled Sand Gold will discuss the role played by camels in economy and commerce.

What is the main message that the Cultural Majlis has for its audience?

To explain the close relationship that camels have with the Arab society throughout the ages and examine this bond from different angles such as history, literature, art, travel and commerce.
