Prepare to be mesmerized by the electrifying performance of Drum Tao, the world-renowned Japanese drumming ensemble. Combining traditional wadaiko — or taiko — drumming with contemporary choreography, Drum Tao delivers a high-energy show that is both culturally enriching and extremely entertaining.

Established in 1993 in Oita, Japan, Drum Tao has become a symbol of modern Japanese cultural entertainment. Their performances feature the powerful sounds of taiko drums, complemented by the beautiful melodies of Japanese flutes and harps. With over nine million global spectators, their phenomenal performances have taken them to more than 500 cities around the world.

Drum Tao’s new long-run production, “MANGEKYO,” was first performed in Tokyo in 2017 and has become a hugely popular attraction for international tourists. The ensemble has received numerous accolades, including the “Outstanding Cultural Contribution” award from Oita Prefecture and the “Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award” from the Japanese government.
