Ithra's Japan Cultural Days provides an immersive experience of contemporary and traditional Japanese culture. Visitors can engage in culinary experiences, enjoy performing arts and explore exhibitions showcasing Japanese culture. Hands-on workshops allow participants to engage in craft, cuisine, culture and language sessions that offer insightful bridges to the aesthetics, artistry and creativity of Japanese culture and society.
Ithra Cultural Days event entry is free.
Note: During the weekend (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) all program tickets are only available inside Ithra.

What is the Ithra Cultural Days Program?
Ithra Cultural Days is one of the signature programs of the King Abdulaziz Center for world culture (Ithra). It reflects Ithra’s mission to foster creativity , knowledge and new cultural experience. This program is a global cross-cultural engagement from around the world to Ithra, offering our audiences an illuminating window into other diverse and rich cultures.
Why Japan?
Japan was selected as the focus for this year’s Cultural Days Program to celebrate 70 years of diplomatic , relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan — a significant milestone in our collaboration and friendship. This event provides a unique opportunity to highlight the rich cultural exchange and mutual respect between the two nations.
When is the event happening?
The event will run from January 23 to February 8, 2025.
What are the times of the events and activations?
4:00 – 10:30 p.m.
Where are the activations of the event?
The events will take place in the Ithra Plaza, the Children’s Museum, Ithra Tower, the Theater, the Lush Garden and the Energy exhibit.
What is the target audience?
Families and Youth.
Do I require tickets to attend the events?
Most of the event activations are free. However, a few workshops require purchasing tickets.
Will there be movies screening in the Ithra Cinema?
