Abdulhalim Radwi (1939-2006) was born in Makkah and has lived much of his life in Jiddah. A pioneering Saudi artist, painter, sculptor and teacher, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (1964) and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid (1979).
