Abdurahman Medallah is the General Manager for Planning and Design at the Sharqia Development Authority (SDA), and an award-winning expert in urban planning, design and sustainability. In his role at SDA, Abdulrahman is responsible for developing strategic projects, conducting long-range urban planning, and overseeing urban and architectural designs. 

A graduate of New York’s Syracuse University, where he earned an Advanced Master of Science Post-Professional degree in Architectural Research and Design, Abdulrahman received the SOA Graduate Award for Excellence and Significant Contribution. He also holds a master’s degree in Urban Design from the University of Colorado. A guest faculty member of the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals’ Department of Architecture, Abdulrahman has taught at Boston Architectural College and was the Executive Director for Design and Engineering at Sakani, a Ministry of Housing REDF program.
