Bader Al Samari

Bader Al Samari, a Saudi writer from the Eastern Province, is an experienced author of novels, short stories, screenplays and literary articles. He has also contributed to the translation of several texts from English to Arabic. Al Samari has been the secretary of the Story Club in the Eastern Province and he has played a crucial role in the founding of Jsad Al Thakafa (The Body of Culture Forum).

He has written many critical stories for the Voice of Emirates, Takween magazine, and several literary websites. He has also held many lectures at book fairs, literary clubs and Saudi universities. Al Samari has written several noteworthy publications which include: Ibn Tariq (a joint novel with Mohammed Al Samari) in 2011, What Came from the Narrators' Mouths (a collection of stories) in 2012, a collection of narrators' speeches by international narrative writers in 2013, Iritiab (a novel) in 2013, and he wrote the screenplay for the 2019 movie Born a King in partnership with the Spanish novelist Ray Loriga.
