An Iraqi poet and a member of the writers and authors union in Iraq. He is a consultant for the Iraqi Prime Minister for cultural affairs. He is Editor-in-Chief for "Aqlam" Magazines and has published many poetry collections including: A Journey Without Color, Poetry Collection, The Last Adam and family poems as well as a number of ciritical books about his experience with poetry. He was awarded many prizes including: First place in Dubai Cultural Competition 2000, the State Creativity Award for his collection titled "A Jar of Questions"/"Jarret Aselah" 2014, Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Award for his whole poetic achievement 2021 and earned Professorship in 2019.
