Dr. Maha Abdullah Al-Senan is a Saudi cultural advisor, Saudi Shura Council Member – since October 18, 2020 – and a past fellow at the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Art History at Harvard University (2011). She holds a PhD from King Saud University – gained in 2009 – and a master’s degree from Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University, from 2002.

She is known for her passion for Saudi visual culture and her experience in the art, culture and heritage of Saudi Arabia. In addition to her research, advisory and executive experience with several governmental and private entities and third sector, she has held multiple positions such as associate professor at Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University (2009–2018), general manager for the Saudi Heritage Preservation Society (2011–2016), director of educational programs at the General Authority for Culture at the Saudi Ministry of Culture (2018–2019) and currently advisor at the Ministry of Culture; a position she has held since September 2019.
