The CEO of Saudi Arabia’s Architecture and Design Authority is a renowned expert in the field, having earned her PhD from Newcastle University in 2010, and a post-doctoral fellowship in the Ibn Khaldun program from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Dr. Sumaya Al-Sulaiman has held the position of Dean of the College of Designs at Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University, and is a member of the Municipal Council of the Eastern Region Secretariat. She also curated the first Saudi National Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale in Italy.
