A Lebanses academic researcher, Chair for Shaikh Zayed for Arabic and Islamic studies and Head of  the department of Arabic and Near Eastern Languages and Editor-in-chief of Research Journal at the American University of Beirut (AUB). He specializes in Arabic and Islamic literature and has been interested in Islamic manuscripts and their history. He edited and reviwed dozens of books that were influential in the Arabic and global libraries.
