Kameel Hawa

The multitalented Kameel Hawa is an artist of multiple mediums; he draws, paints, sculpts and designs. He creates fonts and projects by transforming words into art pieces. Hawa is a pioneering creative mind who has shaped and influenced the art and design scene in the Arab world. He became particularly well-known for his typographic sculptures including those featured in Beirut, AUB, Fann and Ithra. In addition, he is the founder of Al Mohtaraf Design House. Located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, it is acclaimed for its contributions to visual culture, specifically in the realms of publications, brand identity and type design.

Ahmad Osman is an outstanding graphic designer who graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2003. He joined Al Mohtaraf several years ago. Since then, Ahmad has expanded his knowledge of the field of type design, art and sculpture. For his creative and dedicated work, he has become recognized for his arts writing, with his bilingual articles appearing in leading publications. Ahmad has translated nine books and speaks four languages: Arabic, English, French and German.
