Manal AlDowayan was born 1973 in Dhahran. Using diverse media, her work and practice embrace themes of invisibility, active forgetting, archives and collective memory. Her work Tree of Guardians was introduced at the first edition of 21,39 Jeddah Arts  –  Moallaqat (2014), and was recently exhibited in its entirety at the Diriyah Biennale (2021-22).
