Marije Vogelzang describes herself first and foremost as an eating designer. Marije, a pioneer in the field of eating design with 20 years’ experience, finds inspiration in the origin of food as well as its etiquette, politics, history and culture.

Marije developed and sold two experimental restaurants called ‘PROEF’ in Rotterdam and Amsterdam and creates art installations and exhibitions about eating and design. 

In 2016 Marije initiated the Dutch Institute of Food and Design (DIFD), a global network to celebrate the connection between food and design. The DIFD is behind the Future Food Design Awards and produces a traveling exhibition about the future of food.

Marije has been recognized at the Fast Company’s top 100 Most Creative People in Business, named on the GOOD100 list of Good Magazine and was a finalist of the World Technology Awards, in the Design category.
