Sarah Alashri is a multidisciplinary visual artist and curator based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She received her BA from Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University and is now co-chair and curator at the Saudi Art Initiative. Alashri developed an appreciation for emerging and upcoming artists and continues to dedicate her skills and abilities to present the creativity of others. She co-curated Current, the first exhibition of the Saudi Art Initiative, giving emerging artists a platform to showcase their work in a more diverse environment. In addition, she previously worked as a program coordinator for Noor Riyadh and as a project manager for We Light Riyadh, showcasing the stories of others through light and sound. Alashri currently works as a project manager for SaudiXDesign, one of the platforms of &Bouqu, an interdisciplinary creative consultancy, and Oasis Company, dedicated to providing opportunities for brands, artisans, and local talents to come together while telling immersive, dynamic narratives that resonate.
