Willy Verginer

Willy Verginer

The Human Nature series is a powerful response to the devastating impact that industrialization has often had on the environment. Verginer’s sculptures look to waste packaging, deforested areas and the young generation, using color to symbolize the thin line between nature and industrialization.

Verginer's work highlights the fragile nature of ecosystems and urges viewers to take action against the pollution caused by industries. The use of glass and metallic containers throughout the sculptures is a stark reminder of the harmful effects of pollution on humanity. Through his art, Verginer challenges us to reconsider our daily actions and the significant impact they have on the natural world.

Willy Verginer lives and works in Ortisei, Italy. In 2017, he showed a major installation in Detroit that furthered his engagement with environmental themes. In 2019, he took part in the Nature in Art group exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow, Poland.
