Dr. Nada Alnafea
CEO of the UNESCO Al Fozan International Prize for the Promotion of Young Scientists in STEM
Dr. Nada Alnafea is an architect and designer, currently serving as the CEO of the UNESCO Al Fozan International Prize for the Promotion of Young Scientists in STEM. She is also a member of the Advisory Committee for the Saudi Umran Society.
Dr. Alnafea earned her PhD in 2006 from London South Bank University. Her research explores the significant changes experienced by Saudi women over the last 50 years of the previous century and the subsequent social and economic impacts on house design and the home environment.
Dr. Alnafea has served as a consultant to various private and public universities, societies, and organizations. Her contributions include establishing new interior design programs, developing curricula for quality and accreditation, writing and implementing strategic plans at program, college, and university levels, and supporting the interior design profession through her long-term collaboration with the Saudi Council of Engineers. She also served as a part-time consultant at the Ministry of Education for four years.
Dr. Alnafea has held several key positions to ensure a focused implementation of strategic plans and goals, including Dean of the Art and Design College at Princess Nourah University and Vice Rector of Quality and Development at Dar Al Uloom University.
She has been actively involved with the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA), as reviewer for various programs and universities.
