Dr. Reem Al odan is an Assistant Professor at the Visual Arts Department, College of Arts, King Saud University.

Reem is a member of several scientific and professional societies and organizations like the Saudi Heritage Preservation Society since 2011, member of the International Organization for Folk Art (IOV) since 2012, member of the GCC Society for History and Antiquities since 2013, member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Scientific Association of Art and Design from 2016 to 2019, as well as being a member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) since 2013.

Reem received much recognition including an award for Humanities studies from the graduate students at the Princess Noura University for the 3rd Scientific Conference in KSA 2013 , an Acquisition Award at the First Ceramic Exhibition from the Ministry of Culture in 2012, an award for Colors of Saudi Arabia from the Saudi Commission for Tourism & Antiquities in 2012 and an award for the first Youth Art Exhibition from the Ministry of Culture in 2009.

Reem has many contributions in community service, including donating her artwork to government agencies as well as presenting many lectures and workshops in visual arts and museum education.
