Board member of Saudi ICOMOS Medad Philanthropic foundation for Heritage, Culture and Islamic Arts

Prof Adnan Adas is an expert Urban & Architectural Heritage Conservation consultant.  He is a board member of Saudi ICOMOS Medad Philanthropic foundation for Heritage, Culture and Islamic Arts and responsible for Medad’s Historic Masjids restoration projects. Prof Adas worked as an architectural heritage conservation advisor in a number of PIF mega projects. In addition he worked with Aseer Development Authority (ASDA), Royal Commission AlUla (RCU), RCMC, Red Sea Global, AMAALA, Ruaa Makkah, Saudi Boutique, Driyiah Gate Competition, MASAR and Roshn. Professor Adas has spent 40 years in teaching and academic and scientific research at King Abdulaziz University Dept of Architecture. He is the author of a number of books and research and a member of a number of Saudi and international professional societies. Prof Adas has a PhD from the University of Toronto, Canada, a Masters and Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Colorado at Boulder, USA.
