Director General, Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA), Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). University professor in philosophy and Sufi studies. He has been the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Indonesia (Jakarta), Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC, Tehran, President of the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts (TİEM, Istanbul), in reverse chronological order. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Muhyiddin Ibn ‘Arabi Society (Oxford, U.K.) and gives lectures at Üsküdar University, Institute of Sufi Studies. Kılıç authored 17, translated 5 and edited 2 books, wrote many articles in international journals. His books, articles and translations have focused on Ibn ‘Arabi and the Ibn ‘Arabi school of thought as well as Sufism in Anatolia and around the Muslim world.
