The Most Prominent Creative Participations

The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra)

The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) presented a wide range of creative and artistic events, which began with the launch of the EPGC initiative in October and targeted audiences of all age groups. These events included the Children's Days at Ithra, Omar Khairat in Concert and the Camel through the Ages exhibition. The Center also hosted the seventh edition of Ithra’s annual creativity conference (Tanween), a vibrant hub for creative and innovative designers from different backgrounds.

Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu

The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, in collaboration with a host of organizations, presented diverse programming including workshops, exhibitions and awareness campaigns in the fields of community development, innovation, technology and health. These events covered a variety of topics such as occupational safety, sign language basics and creative programming.

Retal Urban Development Company

As part of its pursuit of a sustainable urban future that combines creativity and innovation, Ratal Urban Development Company, in collaboration with the Municipality of Khobar and Knock café, launched the third edition of the "Ratal Urban Creativity Competition,” which invited architects and designers to challenge themselves by creating sustainable architectural solutions that breathe new life into old buildings, leaving their mark on the city's future.

Nesma & Partners

In an innovative step, Nesma & Partners joined the initiative for the first time with a competition that encourages creativity and supports recycling. The company collected waste materials from its construction sites and then invited the entire community to compete in transforming these scrap pieces into unique artworks, with valuable prizes awarded for the best designs.

Social Development Bank

 

To enhance the financial well-being of community members, the Social Development Bank presented a range of programs targeting various segments of society. These initiatives aimed to raise financial awareness and educate individuals in managing personal and family income, investment and savings assets, as well as the concept of freelance work. These programs also provided an overview of the bank's services to help their benefactors’ make the most use of them.

Culture House in Dammam

The Culture House in Dammam hosted 10 creative programs, among which were the "Midad Program for Media Leadership" and the "Expo for Environmental Architecture." The latter featured a diverse exhibition that included abstract art, photography, installations and sculptures; all designed to create a unique experience in showcasing architectural and artistic innovations.

Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts

In collaboration with local cultural clubs, and in an inspiring step to foster creativity and discover talent, the Society organized a series of diverse artistic events in the fields of theater, narrative writing, visual arts and critical reading. These events aimed to highlight the abilities of community members, introduce these members to their creative potential, create a rich space for dialogue and artistic interaction, as well as open new horizons for inspiration and innovation.

Eastern Province Council for Social Responsibility (EPCSR)

The council presented a dialogue session titled "Journalism and Society," in collaboration with SASCA in Dammam, which shed light on the rich history between journalism and society, the central role journalism plays in educating the public and its significant influence on sustainable knowledge development.

Dar Noura Al-Mousa for Culture and Arts

Dar Noura Al-Mousa has participated in a series of literary and artistic events that attracted various fields’ enthusiasts in topics such as fashion design, literature, public speaking and photography, in collaboration with the Writers Association, Fakhr Gavel Toastmasters Club, Zahra AlHussain for Fashion and Entrepreneurship and Dar Basma.

King Faisal University

In recognition of  its students’ creativity and driven by its desire to showcase their unique talents, the university organized the third edition of its annual "KFU Goes Creative" exhibition in collaboration with student clubs. This exhibition serves as an inspiring platform that highlights the artistic and scientific innovations presented by students. It also features special sections dedicated to crafts that distinguish the al-Hasa region, creating a rich experience that strengthens cultural traditions and encourages the exchange of creative ideas.

Almoosa College

Almoosa College made an announcement with its first participation in the initiative, the school combined technology with creativity via the Smart City Hackathon, which aimed to develop students' skills in providing solutions that serve the community in the educational, environmental, health and technological sectors. This qualitative offering was accompanied by an exhibition of arts and fashion, along with a variety of sections in collaboration with Fab Lab, al-Hasa Municipality, the University of Sharjah and Almoosa Group, who worked together to empower youth and foster creativity and teamwork.

Al Yamamah University has launched a diverse range of initiatives of environmental, social and economic nature, such as tree-planting initiatives, supporting startups and organizing sports and technology events, all aimed at enriching university and community life.

In its continuous pursuit of igniting creativity and inspiring innovative thinking, Almajdouie Holding Group contributed to promoting "Alsharqiya Gets Creative" initiative through its platforms, demonstrating its deep commitment to empowering creativity within the community. It also further strengthened this vision by launching an innovative workshop for its employees in the field of visual blogging, opening new horizons for creative thinking.

As part of its focus on the young generation, the company launched the "Rawabi Future Skills Bootcamp," which targets high school students. The camp took participants on a journey of self-discovery and future-building by introducing them to university majors and equipping them with the essential tools to understand their abilities, explore diverse career options and develop the skill set they need for their future. This initiative aimed to help the rising generation take a boost of confidence and clear steps toward a bright future.

6 Degrees Technologies

"Alsharqiya Gets Creative" initiative launched its fifth edition with a dedicated app for its events created by the 6 Degrees Technologies team. This app allows users to discover and engage with local events, while also providing integrated management tools for initiative owners and organizers, facilitating the development and evaluation process.

Al Fateh Sports Club

Hosted at the Apex Sports City at King Faisal University, the Al Fateh Sports Club Hackathon presented a competition brimming with creativity. This event featured a dynamic relay race, football contests and a variety of sports challenges complemented by tech-driven activities and engaging interactive booths.

The Khobar-based club has contributed to "Alsharqiya Gets Creative" initiative, both socially and through media, by dedicating advertising screens during matches and in fan-zones to promote the initiative. It also launched a talent discovery program to nurture promising sports talents.
