Egyptian translator, studied Chinese at the Faculty of Languages, Ain Shams University in Cairo, and at the Shandong Normal University in Jinan, China. Almasri has published 13 translations to date, won first place in the seventh cycle of the Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation and International Understanding in 2021 for her translation of the novel Love in the New Millennium by Can Xue from Chinese to Arabic, and the Special Book Award of China that was handed out at the Beijing Book Fair in 2019.
