The Neighborhood Storyteller

The Neighorhood Storyteller is an international award-winning film by HOME Storytellers about the story of Asmaa Rashed, a young Syrian refugee who found a way to channel her hardships into an opportunity for change by leading read-aloud circles to empower adolescent girls by advocating for their education, teaching them life skills, and fostering collective healing.

The film won 11 awards and 52 official selections across 25 countries.
After the film screening, there will be a panel discussion with the film makers.
