Annick Collins
Annick Collins is a designer and artist based in Saudi Arabia. She creates artworks, participatory projects and workshops for different ages. Her work investigates the action of "creative exploration" through drawing, print and sculpture. Annick’s approach utilizes experimentation, play and improvisation with her materials, process and the audience. Often the starting points are developed on simple interactions of mark-making such as her "Folded Time" and "Meandering" drawing series. Other works utilize found objects and everyday materials, through a method termed "object play" Annick finds new ways of visual expression. Her focus is to engage in new ways of looking, making and thinking.
Annick’s early career in the UK had her working within the public realm to explore the communal narrative and interactivity of shared spaces. Working with architects, designers, schools, hospitals and developers, Annick developed artworks and participatory experiences which integrated with a place and its community.
Annick earned an MA from the Royal College of Art London and has worked regularly with higher education to engage and support students in creative practice. This includes the Royal College of Art, London, Imperial College London, and University of the Arts.
