Marwa Al Aqroubi is the Executive Director of House of Wisdom and a leading figure in the cultural scene of the UAE. She has an impressive track record of achievements in the publishing and writing sector, focusing particularly on children and young people’s books. She led the Sharjah World Book Capital 2019 project, which was initiated to celebrate this prestigious title awarded by UNESCO in the same year. 
Acting as the President of the UAE Board on Books for Young People (UAEBBY), Marwa contributed to the “Read, Dream, Create” initiative to instil the love of books in children and encourage them to read and innovate. In 2017, she became a panel member of the Bologna International Children’s Book Fair Award in Italy.
Furthermore, thanks to her extensive experience, she was appointed a BOT member of the International Board on Books for Young People. Marwa, who wrote and published several children’s books and stories, is dedicated to promoting reading as a daily habit for children and supporting innovative ideas that further incorporate culture in social life.
