Sura Al Sabah

Architect Sura Saud Al-Sabah, from Kuwait, holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Kuwait University in 2003, and a master’s degree in 2019. She is a researcher and architecture writer, a permanent member of the Kuwait Society of Engineers, and holds the title of professional engineer. She had teaching experience at Kuwait University and wrote stories for children in the field of architecture, “The Little Architect Rakan and the City of Dreams.”

She founded the companies Home Genius and Home Genius Junior, as well as the Young Architect Academy.

 

Sura is interested in volunteer work, as she combined all her life experiences to link architecture as a specialty and art, with citizenship and community solidarity. She has different perspectives inspired by her love and passion for architecture and love for the country, which was reflected through her contributions to awareness campaigns, which aim to raise the level of architectural awareness in society, beginning with the new generation. She succeeded to make the Little Architect Program, which aims to develop the intellectual creativity of children through early architectural education. As well as the Home Genius Juniors project to embrace the child culturally and enable him to understand architecture in a simplified manner.

She has had many voluntary contributions to spreading architectural awareness by providing workshops in schools, and has published a research paper during her master’s studies “A Future Vision for the Multiuse House in Kuwait: Between Acceptance and Rejection".
