Tobias Gutmann, born in 1987 in Wewak, Papua New Guinea, completed his MFA in Storytelling in 2014 at the Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm and an MFA from the ZHdK in Zurich. With his Face-o-mat performance he has gained international recognition, by performing at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Mindpark XiChong and Shenzhen, and the Art Central in Hong Kong. His most recent exhibitions were a solo show at the Underdogs Gallery in Lisbon, Portugal and a solo exhibition at the Mobiliar Art Collection in Berne, Switzerland.  He experiments with different media such as drawings, installations, performances, animations, publications and workshops.
