This journey will take us inside the captivating world of XR, where we will explore a way to tell stories by using technology such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality. We will start with Joseph Campbell’s concept of "the hero’s journey" and learn the need for humans to communicate their stories.
We will discover how these concepts can be compared to our 2024 technology of XR and how immersive experiences can impact and enrich the storytelling experience. We will also learn how to leverage the capabilities of Virtual and Augmented Reality to create immersive and engaging narratives that go beyond the written and visual world.
Through successful case-studies of XR experiences, we will learn additional layers of clarity and depth regarding how the use of these technologies enables faster knowledge exchange and entertaining educational experiences.
At the end, we will share together ideas from the workshop and how we can use XR in our own work and career practices.
