CEO, &bouqu | Curator, Saudi Pavilion, Venice Biennale for Architecture 2023

Basma Bouzo has cultivated a distinct passion for championing cultural narratives. This infatuation for storytelling led her to launch Saudi Arabia’s first English-language art and culture magazine, Oasis, alongside her sister Noura. Bouzo co-founded Saudi Arabia’s first-ever Saudi Design Week and is the co-founder and CEO of Saudi Design Festival. She has also represented Saudi Arabia globally as the co-curator of the National Pavilion of Saudi Arabia at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2023 and co-curator and designer of the Saudi Pavilion in the inaugural edition of London Design Biennale 2016. 

Bouzo has gone on to co-found and lead &bouqu an experience-led cultural and creative consultancy that harnesses the power of storytelling to build strategies and execute high-impact projects at the intersection of creativity, arts, culture, design and innovation. She has worked with clients such as Google, Facebook, Ministry of Culture, The Royal Commission for AlUla, Qiddiya, General Entertainment Authority, General Sports Authority, Snøhetta, PEPSICO, Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Adidas, Nike, King Faisal Foundation, Ministry of Economy and Planning, and the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra).
