David Habchy is a Beirut-based visual artist and cultural manager working in the fields of animation, illustration and printmaking.
In 2012, Habchy co-founded Waraq association, a non-profit organization based in Beirut that is committed to the support of graphic art practices through education, research, production and publishing. In 2015, Habchy co-founded Studio Kawakeb, a visual arts studio specialized in animation, graphic design and illustration, with the aim of pushing creative boundaries to contribute to a local and regional visual exploration.
Since graduating in 2007, Habchy has been teaching courses in illustration, design and animation at the Notre Dame University, Academie Libanaise des Beaux Art (ALBA) and Université Saint-Joseph (USJ). In addition, David has participated in book fairs, conferences, workshops, exhibitions and residency programs in over a dozen countries around the world.
