ashim was born in Dhahran and has spent all his life in the country side of Qatif city surrounded by farms in which his passion for nature began to develop. At a young age, his father’s influence on a DIY (Do It Yourself) attitude began to take shape as he joined his father in daily household repairs and activities. In 2017, Hashim owned his first lathe and started a new chapter in which his true passion in carving and shaping the natural form of wood while preserving its allure and splendor appeared. Since then, all his dedication was put into woodturning where he has made several demonstrations to dedicated audiences and the public. Also, teaching and spreading the art of woodturning through promotional videos with tool suppliers, live broadcast in social media platforms and class based private sessions at his home studio.
