The process of selecting participants, starting from the receipt of their applications to the announcement of their names is conducted according to the following outlined steps:
Registration and Administrative Check of Applications by Ithra
Ithra staff conduct a registration and administrative check to screen the received applications for compliance with Ithra's guidelines and requirements. This includes verifying completeness, submission of samples, and relevance of the proposal’s topic to Ithra's mission. Applications that pass this screening are then forwarded to the jurors via email.
Evaluation of the projects by the jurors
The applications are forwarded to the jury committee, which assesses the projects based on the evaluation criteria outlined below.
Evaluation criteria:
Relevance (1-10 points)
Innovation and Originality (1-15 points)
Feasibility (1-10 points)
Impact (1-15 points)
In addition to this evaluation, each juror is required to provide a detailed commentary about every idea submitted explaining their opinion on the project. This commentary should include a general assessment of the project highlighting its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks.
Analysis of Juror’s Recommendations by Ithra
The Ithra team gathers and evaluates the recommendations provided by each juror, organizing the applicants' scores and identifying any disparities in the assessments. This process results in a shortlist, facilitating focused and productive discussions during the selection committee meetings.
Approval by Ithra Board and Cohort Announcement
The Ithra team consolidates the final selections of the onboarded ideas and prepares a report to Ithra management. The representatives of the chosen ideas are then contacted for the final step.
Notification and Onboarding Agreements
The selected cohort is contacted, and onboarding agreements are finalized with Ithra. Subsequently, the announcement is made on the Ithra website and social media channels.
