Synopsis
Hadi Alees is a short film produced by the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) which sheds light on the life surrounding camels in the Arabian Peninsula and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular. It provides a fresh lens on the history of camels, the deep-rooted customs and traditions that link them to Saudi culture, and their emotional and historic connection to the people of the Kingdom, past and present, in a breathtaking cinematic display.
The film unravels the temperament of camels, revealing the relations they have with their owners, handlers and camel whisperers. It showcases the picturesque geographical landscape of the Kingdom along the way, and then delves into the dromedary economy and what the future looks like for the industry.
